Pre Installation FAQ
Does the toolbar contain any spyware?
Absolutely not. There is no spyware or adware installed, nor do we track activity in any way.
How do I uninstall it?
Simple. In the help menu (right under the logo), go to "Help," then select Unistall Toolbar. Select yes to the pop-up box, asking if you want to install it. It will then close the IE Window and re-open with the toolbar gone.
How much does it cost?
Nothing, it's free!

What is the backlink function?
The backlink function offers a quick way to query the major search engines to find out how many pages link to the site that you're on. For instance, If I go to www.uncoverthenet.com and select "Check Backlinks" then select Yahoo as the search engine to query, I would then be directed to a url like this: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=link:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.uncoverthenet.com%2F. From there, I can see that Yahoo! shows about 839,000 pages linking to www.uncoverthenet.com.
How do I use the backlink tool?
It's easy. Once you're on the page that you would like to check the backlinks for, simply click on the "Check Backlinks" button and select the search engine to use for the query. Please Note: after you check the backlinks on one search engine, you must return to the original url to check another search engine.
How do I use the search feature?
To search Uncover the Net, simply enter your search terms in the input field on the toolbar and hit enter. You can also try your same search on MSN, Yahoo, Google & Ask Jeeves. To choose one of the others, just click on the "Search" button on the right of the input field and choose one of the other search engines to query.
